Course Overview

Uncertainty and complexity are often the hallmark of a project. Unfortunately, they are also the hallmark of risk. A primary responsibility of the project leader is to identify, analyze, and develop an appropriate response to each risk. Some risks should be accepted and some should result in immediate project replan. This course will prepare project leaders to manage projects more effectively.

Objectives/Topics

As a result of taking this course, you will learn:
  • The major elements of a successful project risk management methodology.
  • Techniques for identifying, analyzing, and responding to risks will be introduced and practiced in a highly interactive, hands-on environment.
  • Use the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Book of Knowledge.
  • At the end of this program, you will have the tools and understanding to improve your ability to manage project risk.
